Eurosport HD Announce Launch On Virgin Media

Eurosport have revealed that the HD channel will soon be included on the Virgin Media network and will be the first of many new HD channels to be added on the cable TV provider’s network over the next few months.

Eurosport HD launched on Sky back in July 2008 and is the high definition version of the main international Eurosport channel which includes the coverage of many high profile sporting events such as the Tour de France, World Touring Car Championships and the French Open Tennis Championship.

Access to Eurosport HD will be free of charge to subscribers of Virgin Media XL TV and the new addition now brings the total of Virgin Media’s HD channels to eight, alongside the likes of BBC HD, Channel 4 HD and Living HD. The company have stated that there will be further HD channel additions added to the network over the first half of this year.
